Module 1: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship

This module introduces you to what it means to be an entrepreneur, including the fundamental tools of the trade and the role of entrepreneurship, both as it has been and as it currently is operating. You will be introduced to the theoretical concepts of entrepreneurial venture creation relating to a range of contexts.

In this module, you will develop your ability to design effective business strategies for organisations of varying types and stages of maturity. In this module, you will learn about the digital economy and the associated new breed of high-growth digital businesses. In addition to exploring the theoretical understanding of the differences between digital and physical organisations and the methods of developing and delivering value to customers, you will develop skills in identifying digital business opportunities, the risks for established organisations and will be able to design business models for digital organisations as well as adapt more traditional business models to suit the digital economy.

Major Applied Industry Project

This module enables you to consolidate your skills, knowledge and insights into:

1) Developing solutions to a real digital marketing opportunity identified within your own place of work, industry or start-up, or

2) The creative exploration of a digital marketing opportunity as a conceptual idea. The aim of this module is for you to develop the practical and professional abilities to apply the knowledge, skills and insights gained from the modules within your course.

Entry Requirements

96 New UCAS points or equivalent, e.g. from A level passes at A2 in at least 2 subjects, or from BTEC Extended Diploma or Diploma.
International equivalents are set out in the International Blue Book, e.g. in the USA this could be a US High School Graduation Diploma with an overall average B*(or 80%/CGPA of 3.0/4.5).
