Dean Kavanagh’s background spans both technology and capital markets and he has experience investing in seed stage businesses all the way through mature public companies, real estate, distressed assets and debt instruments. Dean is currently responsible for reviewing new investment opportunities on behalf of the Melbourne based LJCB Investment Group, a private family office investment firm.

Prior to joining LJCB Investment Group, Dean founded TH Partners in order to invest in charged-off consumer debt assets. Dean spent 5 years in San Francisco as VP of Acquisitions and Sales at Applied Income Sciences, a hedge fund focused on distressed assets. Prior to this Dean led software development and operations for a start-up firm based in the Silicon Valley and focused on the European health care industry. Dean has an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Bachelor of Computer Science from Monash University, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
