Abby J.Cohen’s is perhaps the world’s most respected and influential economist and financial analyst. Her career is the subject of a Harvard Business School case study and has been featured as a Business Week cover story. She has been recognised by Financial Women’s Association, the New York Stock Exchange and leading financial publications. In 2001 she was named as one of the 30 most powerful women in America.

She is a partner and Senior US Investment Strategist at Goldman Sachs, responsible for their Global Markets Institute. Previously she was their Chief Investment Strategist. She is known on Wall Street for her formidable economic knowledge and her ability to make bold big-picture and medium- to long-term market predictions. Cohen is known as a leader in US portfolio strategy and was previously ranked number one by Institutional Investor magazine and Greenwich Associates.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, she specialised in quantitative strategy and economics at other major financial firms including T. Rowe Price Associates. She began her career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC.

Cohen serves on numerous boards and committees and is a frequent guest lecturer at several universities and graduate schools of business.
